Deal alert / Cream Classic Album box

cream_classic_deal

Stupendously good price for the forthcoming Cream Classic Album Selection five-CD box set in the UK at the moment.

This set contains the band’s complete studio albums – Fresh Cream, Disraeli Gears, Wheels Of Fire (two CDs) and Goodbye – in a smart clamshell style box.

This is just £12.99 on Amazon UK at the time of writing, which is about $19 – that’s less than half the US price. Great stuff!

Just collected mine today. Bit disappointed Toad (Fresh Cream) is the short version I think from the US pressing…

Phil Aston

Arrived today – first impressions. Did anyone check the colours on Disraeli Gears? The worst reproduction of the sleeve I have seen.

Paul Soper

Can anyone confirm whether these are new remasters?

Lalaa

It’s tempting because I only have the Deluxe Disraeli Gears. But there are no informations on the mastering, I wonder if the Disraeli Gears included in this new box will use the deluxe mastering.

The replicas look a little better than the standard cheap EMI ones.

[…] Gears, Wheels Of Fire (two CDs) and Goodbye – in a smart clamshell style box. Even better that deal from the other week is still valid. […]

Price checking HMV, thought I’d mention it

Stu

Thanks for the HMV heads-up, means I can get it delivered for free whereas I’d need to make the order up to £20 on Amazon for free p&p.

Tonk

less than universal’s cost price and they are from the last batch of remasters

fredpostman

Many thanks.

Robert Fitzpatrick

Paul Nyman

Thank you, Thank you for the Deal!

Goodbye originally came in a gatefold sleeve. Has that not been reproduced here?

Mark R

Nabbed!

Kenneth

Incredible deal! Price actually showed as only 10.81 in pounds and was just a little over $20 in US currency. Thanks!

Justin Isbell

Cheers Paul…seems silly not to.

John

Ordered! Paul, you are great bur costing me dearly with all your SDE Alerts!

WILLIAM ENGLAND

For another £3.63 you can pick up THOSE WERE THE DAYS box set which has everything you get in the new box and quite a lot more besides… and i’m pretty certain that this new box will use those 2008 masters. It’s a highly recommended purchase even if just for THE COFFEE SONG.

Matt Charles

Thanks, William, looks like an interesting package //

John

Cheers Paul
Great deal- ordered

Paul Soper

Are these new remasters, or the ’90’s remasters?

BritinDetroit

Cruises in to Detroit at a fraction over $20.00 – good with that and thank you very much for the alert

PAUL BAKEWELL

Ordered ! Along with new Budgie box set at under a Tenner !

matt charles

thanks, Paul – snagged – basically half price compared to Amazon DE…

MFG

Done! The actual price is even cheaper once you place your pre-order. Total cost under $21 US, including shipping across the ocean. Thanks for the tip Paul.

Also, at this price, I could care less about packaging, liner notes, or other extras. I presume the audio quality is the same as whatever the latest remastered versions were for the individual album releases.
