DEAL ALERT / Suede: CD Albums box
Edsel Records’ forthcoming Suede CD Albums Box Set has just dropped in price by around 30% on Amazon UK.
The eight-CD set which collects all the band’s studio albums as well as B-side compilation Sci-Fi Lullabies is now available for less than £30 having been almost £44 in recent weeks.
The set has all the CDs in vinyl replica card sleeves within a rigid ‘lift-off lid’ box. A 60-page booklet has an interview with the band where they discuss every track on the albums. This interview was only previously available in the now out-of-print vinyl box set from 2013.
The CD Albums Box is released on 26 May 2014.
This would be a cool set. Can anyone comment on the mastering of these CDs? I heard the deluxe editions (which I’m assuming have the same mastering as this set) are pretty loud and a bit harsh. Anyone that can counter/confirm that claim?
Does anyone know if these card sleeves have booklets for each CD or micro inner-sleeves? Or just the plain CD housed in the paper sleeve?
99.9% sure it will just be the CD in the paper sleeve. But this does come with a 60-page booklet.
Yes, on Amazon pre-orders the price automatically falls to the lowest the item is offered for over the pre-order period by the release date. Mine’s still showing £43 but it will drop to £29.84. That’s a more realistic price. I would also like the deluxe versions boxed in slip in sleeves, but I’m not complaining, I’m just glad the packaging is free of plastic. Next, can Edsel release Brett Anderson’s four solo albums in a similar format please?
Phew. Thanks.
My pre-order is still at @£43.99: should I be worried or does it take a while to automatically adjust?
I think it can take a little while. You will definitely get the cheaper price.
Would be far more interested in a box set collecting the expanded editions.
