DEAL OF THE DAY: John Mellencamp: 1978-2012 box set
Amazon Canada is the place to shop for today’s Deal of the Day.
They currently have the forthcoming limited edition John Mellencamp 1978-2012 19CD box set for $77 CA. That’s just over £44! In Europe you can expect to pay around £120 for this set, so with a potential saving over over £75 that’s more than enough to offset shipping costs.
This collection takes in Mellencamp’s entire 35-year career and the contains a total of 223 tracks. More details available here. 1978-2012 is released on 27 January 2014.

Got my shipped email on Sunday night. Given what the Doctor said above and the fact that it’s about £113 on the UK site, I’ll take this as a win. What the rigmarole was about, though, I’d love to know.
Just got the email and it’s shipped. List price is currently ~$50CSD higher than Deal of the Day price so I guess I’ll treat this as a win and finally swap out my worn-out originals for this.
Just to add, I got an email last night with the estimated delivery dates based on the July 22nd release date. I can expect it any time between the 4th and 18th……of September!
Release date now moved to July 22nd, they are really taking the f&%ing urine with this one……
More duplication we already have these and there are no bonus tracks. JM box set ‘Rural Route’ was excellent and covered many bases but once again insufficient bonus or new songs. Not sure the point of this.
Now says July 8, 2014 release date for $149 CND.
Same here Phil. Ordered the day of the deal but keep getting notified they do not know when it will be available. Not sure why it would not be released to the north?
Hi, I ordered the John Mellencamp box set from Amazon.ca back in December 2013 at the reduced price of $77 CA. However, the release date changed from January to February to March and now has reverted to a release date of “March 1, 2005”. In other words, it does not appear to have ever been available through Amazon.ca at any price.
I note that there are private sellers charging prices commensurate with Amazon in the USA. I’m wondering if I should just purchase it that way? Anyone know what is going on?
Cheers, Phil
