I know it’s not a box set but Amazon UK currently have the CD edition of Roger Waters album “Is This The Life We Really Want?” for £4.87 which is a bargain :-)
For those who are into psychedelic and progressive rock:
Currently on pre-order for EUR 27 (or about GBP 24) is the 2nd “A Kingdom Of Colours”-box by Swedish band The Flower Kings featuring 9 more CDs by the band including five albums on 6 CDs and 3 more CDs with bonus tracks presented in cardboard holders inside a clamshell box. If it matches the 1st box it will include an informative booklet too (in the 1st box it had 120 pages).

I have been waiting for months for the 2-CD REM Deluxe to come down in price from the ridiculous £25 starting price. I thought i had got a bargain when i bought it for £13 a few days ago in FOPP…..I should’ve waited!
Man. I had to have some Lisa. Then, I purchased other music. Yikes.
The Lisa set is a great example of a really neat idea executed rather shabbily. I tried two copies and both arrived with torn booklets, loose wallets, glue on the discs, etc. Such a shame because I liked the idea of having all her (major) albums together like this. I expect the amount of returns and/or unsold stock are the reason for such a crazy price.
Oh, Paul, for a free website, this is becoming incredibly expensive lol!!!
Couldn’t resist this one, either, not for that price, especially when living abroad I don’t pay VAT and only 3.58 for postage.
Am having trouble finding where to put all these box sets…Bananarama, Pretenders, Lisa…
Not to mention trying to find time to listen to all the music!!
And to cap it all, this week sees Alison Moyet’s live set. Oh, the agony…
Is that based on 2014 Bernie Grundman remasters (terrible DR) or what???
