  1. @Alan – I ordered the Goodbye Babylon this morning and had no problems with shipping to the UK. Total cost with shipping came to under £33 (53$CAN)

  2. And to add, I feel that this release doesn’t have that essential element since the setlist contains only 1 song (not even full) from ANATO, so they only tried to very loosely make this boxset of such anniversary. Why oh why, they couldn’t add more ANATO-songs since it was sort of taken from the tour? Would have been nice to see/hear The Prophet Song for example. More concerts should have been filmed and recorded. I think it was left as in halfway making it not so essential to own if you got the previous wonderful Live At The Rainbow-box.

  3. The price for Queen / A Night At The Odeon super deluxe edition which is currently priced €78 or £69 over at Amazon Italy, is a bit overkill or so. Still feels like so.
I think it doesn’t quite fully guarantee that price to be paid given the material provided in the boxset. For that price you only get the following: cd, dvd and bluray of the show. 12″ + book etc some bonuses.
The 12″ of BoRhap is nice but surely they could have added 2-lp edition of the show here, but instead leaving it out, they wanna make the fans double-dip here. I didn’t buy any versions of this yet, as I don’t feel it’s that essential. I can stream the songs on services and got the show recorded on my hd-digital-box. Maybe if I was to buy any version of this, I could settle on 2lp or 1cd+bluray-edition instead.
In fact I think they got it better with the previous Queen Live At The Rainbow set, which had 2 concerts but also plenty of other bonuses in the box. Also, it seems that the upcoming anniversary-boxset of News Of The World has also been very disappointing release as read on many Queen-forums. Seems like I can pass on it aswell unfornately. Sometimes they just don’t get the right things on these releases and record-companies should listen to the fans more.

But I will be following around here, if any interesting deals come up later..

    1. Only slightly apropos, I – with trepidation – splashed out on the Japanese Super Deluxe Edition of ANATOdeon, with the SHM format, and even to my ageing, concert-shot ears the sound upgrade was noticeable. Now tickling just under £400 on Amazon, although I got mine by making a Discogs seller an offer of £220 [I don’t know if that qualifies as a Deal Alert though!].

  4. Typical – Amazon.ca wouldn’t deliver to a UK address for some reason (for the Goodbye Babylon box and also two other CDs). Is this just me or do they not deliver to European addresses? There doesn’t appear to be any problem with European deliveries in their Shipping rates notes?

    1. I also had that problem last year and I live in NYC. Last month I tried again just to see if it works now and it actually went through. So it’s hit or miss with Amazon.ca. Very unreliable but they do have great deals sometimes. Keep trying :-)

  5. This may be of interest to some readers here… The Dust To Digital box set “Goodbye, Babylon” is currently on Amazon.ca for $26.85 CAD. That isn’t a typo either.
I bought it last month at $47 and thought it was a steal then. Christmas prezzies folks, can’t get any holier than this!

    1. That “Goodbye, Babylon” box mentioned above is a steal!!! I just ordered 2 for Christmas gifts. A must own if you dig early American music.

  6. The Verve is back up to £51.78… a minute ago it was £50.78. Place your bets on where it will end up. Still a good price though as Amazon Germany has it for £80.
