Impossible to go wrong with Tori Amos‘ wonderful 1992 debut. A quite astonishing album. This vinyl is the half-speed mastered reissue, so well worth picking up, especially at this price. 1. Loving the Alien’s dropped to just under £140 twice in the last month or so. Been falling for the last few days and it’s as £149 this morning. Might have a little way to go yet before it jumps back to £193.

  1. Amazon.de offered Tom Petty’s The Studio Collection 1976-1991 (Ltd.) (vinyl) for €106 yesterday evening (I don’t know how long the price was that low), and it said that the box would be a pre-order available from 13 August, basically advertising it as a new/reissued product. (Amazon.fr and .it had the same new date, but no bargain prices.) After putting the box in my shopping basket, the offer vanished and the box is now only avalable from resellers. Does anyone know whether a reissue is in the works? Any explanations? Thanks!

  2. I live in Canada and have been ordering from Amazon UK for years. In fact I just this week received from Amazon UK the excellent McGear Deluxe cd set and the Bad Company Swan Song cd b0x set. However, Amazon UK will NOT ship to Canada the Nick Cave double cd Best of that you brought to our attention, Paul.

Do you have any idea, Paul, what is going on in this regard?

  3. Ordered Kate Bush CD box set #1 from Amazon on Sunday for £25.59. Gone back up to £33 odd now but may be worth keeping an eye on given Amazon’s fluctuating prices

  4. Really want the Dylan Box but still can’t justify £97 when I own all the albums albeit, Side Tracks and Dylan digitally. Another £10 or £15 off and I’m in!

    1. The box is one of my prized musical possessions. I too owned almost everything in it, but don’t forget there are some exclusive remasters in there too. Just having it all in one box is just amazing. I’d not be without it.

    2. It does happen Paul. When this came up I checked and, thanks to SDE, I paid £86.99 in December 2017.

Now trying to remember if I already bought the Trouble No More set?

      1. I will no doubt take the plunge! Have just bought 6 albums by The Band including The 4 disc Last Waltz so will have to save my pennies! I have and love the Dylan Mono Box set and the Complete Set will look very good next to it, aside from having all the remasters.

  5. Also at the cheapest I’ve managed to find it so far is the Super Deluxe of Liz Phair Exile in Guysville “Girly Sound to Guysville” 3CD @ £16.09
Ignore the reviews re the packaging – it’s clumsy rather than bad – and it’s the music that counts:

  6. Yeah I was watching the New Order box price gradually going down. Finally went for it when it dipped under £70. Still a lot of money, but the reviews on Amazon have helped sway me :)

    1. The price for the New Order box set has been all over the place. Changing daily and some days changing several times. It was £78 for a while and went up to £103 a fortnight ago and has been falling daily ever since. I plunged in a week ago at £80 and used some Amazon vouchers I’d been sitting on. Price dropped a quid literally 5 minutes after I ordered it. I could have cancelled and re-ordered but as I paid by voucher I didn’t want to risk a delay in re-activating my voucher if the price suddenly shot back up again (which it didn’t but you never know)
