This Week’s Reissue and Box Set Deals

David Bowie / Who Can I Be Now? [1974-1976] 13LP vinyl box – £157.99

Cheapest price to date for this vinyl box that includes remastered versions of Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station along with the Re:Call 2 compilation, various live albums and an alternate mix of Station to Station.

Tori Amos / Unrepentant Geraldines CD+DVD – £7.99

Pretty good price for the deluxe edition of Tori Amos‘ 2014 album. Unrepentant Geraldines is actually a fine record and this comes with an exclusive bonus track, ‘Forest of Glass’, as well as a DVD with admittedly non-essential bits like interview, trailer, studio tour etc. Nice ‘casebound book’ packaging, though.

Lionel Richie vinyl – £8.96

Lionel Richie‘s 1982 album topped the American charts and featured three top ten US singles including number one, Truly.

  1. Media Markt in Germany has a new “2for3” promotion for al DVD, BlueRays, CD´s and Vinyls. In the past amazon.de matched those with the same promotion. So , lets hope and have an eye on amazon.

  2. Excuse me for being blind or not noticing it mentioned on this site but the Super Deluxe Beatles White Album has been £99 for a few days now, worthy of note. Unless it has been noted and I shall henceforth burst into a shower of embarrassment and stupidity.

  3. The Bowie box set comes out to be $180 USD shipped to the US, which is a great price (I think). Much less than what I paid for it when it first came out.

      1. World of David Bowie too (assume coloured vinyl as can’t see both being pic discs) but hasn’t been announced yet. Also not announced yet….Two Rolling Stones coloured vinyl (UK/EU only) High Tide and Green Grass + Through Past darkly, a U2 12″ (not sure what) and a 2 x 7″ pack for The Police. Oh and a Bill Hicks set. All I know at mo.

  4. Will we ever see the Loving The Alien box reduced to a price like this, I wonder? How come there’s still so much WCIBN? stock and yet the Five Years box is so rare? Did the numbers produced change so much after Bowie’s death?

    1. I think they under pressed Five years – and his death boosted demand. Then they rode the greedy wave with loads of pressings of Who Can I be – and frankly we were all a bit bored. However I am delighted I have the first box, as it is a bit like investing in Gold. They were going for £700 on discogs. If somebody would like to pay me that and come and collect. Great news.
