In Bloom: The Nirvana Exhibition / Nevermind Super Deluxe Edition

It’s a sobering thought that Nirvana’s seminal breakthrough album Nevermind is approaching it’s 20th birthday.

In a little over a week’s time, this anniversary will be celebrated, as Universal Music reissue the album in various configurations, the most notable being a 5-disc super deluxe edition.

We will bring you a full review of this box set very soon, but prior to the reissue, a gallery in London’s East End is playing host to In Bloom: The Nirvana Exhibition.

We were at the launch party on Tuesday evening, to enjoy some wonderful large format photographs of the band in their prime, along with displays of memorabilia, interactive modules and replica musical instruments. Reggae star Little Roy entertained, performing some Nirvana covers (from his brilliant new album Battle for Seattle), to a lively crowd of media and celebrities (we spotted Premier League footballer Joey Barton!).

The exhibition will run until 25th September and is open from 1pm – 7pm daily. Entry is free. The location is: The Loading Bay Gallery, Unit 4- 5, Dray Walk, 91 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL.
