Culture Factory totally destroyed both those Wang Chung albums they reissued.

Durnit. I thought the Suzanne Vega news was a remaster program. Would have been welcome news after the horrendous “remaster” LP replica of SOLITUDE STANDING (http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/suzanne-vega-debut-and-solitude-standing-paper-sleeve-reissues/). Still, cool news!

I agree about the poor remastering of those mini-lps. I’d like a decent master of the first two albums.

I have the 25th anniversary at the Barbican CD of SS. It’ a good show, and of course all songs from SS are spread over the discs of the Close Up series. \i’d love to see her live. hr voice seems to have barely changed in the 30+ yrs since recording her debut.

And of course there is this gem on Culture Factory remastering from SDE’s expert look at Robert Palmer re-issues:

“Given that no engineer in his right mind would do this to a recording (and I’m allowing for the fact that plenty of engineers do some pretty awful things in the mastering world) I can only assume that on this occasion the guy left the room and what we hear on the Culture Factory CD is the result of the cat walking across the console. All of which is a real shame as it’s a great album, and one that I would enjoy listening to for pleasure.”

I got a free Bruce live show a year or two back when there was some kind of ticketing fiasco. It was a way of mollifying any disgruntled fans. It’s a great show.

I’ve been think about picking up a couple of those Bruce Springsteen live albums for a while, 50% off just might be the incentive I needed!
