  1. Fortunately was gifted for Xmas both the UK / European version on CD and the Japanese version on SMH-CD (both sets also include the Blu-Ray disc). Comparing the audio for all discs I can say I heard no difference – yep, they sound just the same on my $15K system. The bonus with the Japanese set is the additional large size booklet outside the main book/CD holder and under the back plastic wrap. This uniquely gives you both all the song credits and words for all the songs – both all the previously released songs and all the unreleased ones for the first time :-)

  2. The difference between ordinary CD and SMH-CDs is the price. There is no noticeable difference in sound quality. I`m no audio technician but I have looked into this and the opinion of `those that know` is to what I`ve stated. It`s just another exercise to get us to part with our money for the same product.

  3. This one is all about price, which is stuck at $87 at amazon.com. Watching growling and hoping for something a little more reasonable. Once there was graffiti all over London proclaiming “Clapton is God”…I couldn’t find a viaduct big enough to announce “Eric is awfully good”
