The Primitives‘ third studio album Galore will be reissued early next year by Cherry Red as a two-CD deluxe edition.

Co-produced by The Lightning Seeds’ Ian Broudie, the 1991 long-player would be the indie-pop outfit’s last for RCA. This new edition includes 18 bonus tracks, amongst them B-sides, single mixes, and a generous selection of live performances.

The music has been newly remastered and the booklet will contain rare photos alongside memories and annotations from the band.

Galore is reissued as a two-CD deluxe edition on 26 January 2014.

I devoted years and much of my European Honeymoon in 1992 trying to track down this CD and had to wait for the advent of ebay to snag this holy grail. I’m glad to see this elusive recording finally get a broader release.

Great news, I’m looking forward to this. There is another promo only mix of You Are The Way – The Primitives Galore Mix. A shame those two mixes are not on there, but it’s not the end of the world.

I’ve always resisted trying to collect all the live tracks from the Galore singles as there were so many formats. Now I don’t need to worry. They’re all here.

Here’s hoping Pure gets the deluxe treatment soon too.

The proposed track list for
Galore: Deluxe Edition – The Primitives
is missing one additional remix/version from the promo only “You are the way’ 12”
since it was never available on CD it would be such a shame not to include it

The track is : You Are The Way (God’s Own Garage Band Mix)

another important period track which should also be included is their version of ‘silent night’ from ‘a lump of coal’ compilation

It seems a shame not to try and include these for a complete package
