Deal alert / Supergrass’ I Should Coco 3CD deluxe at a bargain price
When we reviewed Supergrass‘ three-CD deluxe of 1995’s I Should Coco in late December, we called it an “essential purchase”. Well it’s now even more essential, thanks to a big price drop.
This deluxe set really does tick all the boxes, with the remastered album being joined by a disc packed with b-sides, demos and unreleased recordings, as well as a further CD with two live performances. This is normally in the £13-15 mark, but if you’re quick then you can secure this for just £7.99 from Amazon UK.

Ordered this last week. Thanks for the heads up. The AutoRip feature now doesn’t work for non-UK accounts, apparently. This must be a new thing as the Oasis deluxe I ordered in November automatically downloaded the MP3’s to my music library……
My understanding is that autorip has only ever worked in your ‘home’ country. One of the downsides of shopping in other amazons.
This is good, but I fear Amazon are only price matching HMV again as HMV have it back in stock within a week. In my experience HMV deliver next day for free (if you order £10 worth). I know it is only for the UK, so for overseas readers it is different, but it’s good to give HMV some custom if you are in the UK, as if we just let them set a low price and buy from Amazon instead (who may be price matching them), then eventually HMV will go bust and Amazon will have no competition and then may not bother doing as many deals. Simples.
Like Dave, I also picked up one for $14.68. Great deal! Plus I didn’t know I could order from Amazon UK with my US Amazon acconut. Though it appears that I can only do that if the order is fufilled by Amazon, and not a third party. Does anyone know if that is correct?
Broadly correct. Shipping policies will vary with third-party suppliers. Some might ship across the Atlantic and some might not.
Cheers Paul. Thanks for the info.
Does it come with a deluxe booklet?
It comes with a booklet, but there’s nothing ‘deluxe’ about it!
Was hoping for 1995 photos and setlists, etc, etc. I like when bands/artists do this. Makes it worth the purchase :)
If you read the review this is brought up.
Stop, just stop already. You are making me broke!
I just ordered it at £6.66 Cool!
Already got it at a higher price :-( but definitely want to encourage others to get this, especially at this price. They really did a nice job on this release, love the live material.
Already got it at full price. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
Not really interested in this but I will definitely buy the Deluxe Edition of ‘In it For the Money’ – their best album by some distance – if they get around to releasing it.
That’s brilliant Paul. Makes staying in tonight worthwhile now, as I probably would have missed this! ;)
Thanks.
See, this looks like a good deal. But I’m going to have to buy another £12.01 of stuff off my wish list to get free postage, dammit!
So use HMV – free postage and no minimum order. My recent order with them arrived the next day.
That’s a good service, although HMV isn’t an option if you’re outside the UK
Hey, I wasn’t complaining.
You pay £2.00 postage on every order under £10 on HMV.
You can make up your order to £20 with pre order items as well
Nice spot, Paul. I saw Supergrass in a pub before this album was originally released. There was a huge crowd outside hoping to get in and I was lifted, crowd surfing style, over the throng by the door when I demonstrated I, unlike everyone else, actually had a ticket to get in. Crazy!
Ordered. Many thanks for letting us know
Hi Also same price in HMV stores obviously without the free Amazon ‘autorip’ feature.
In addition Tori Amos Deluxe editions are all £7.99 too
Fabulous! Meant to get this classic when it came out reissued, this price is fantastic! Cheers!
$14.68 to the US. Picked one up. Thank you!
Ordered. Thanks Paul
Yet another HMV price match. Are they just copying us now?
Looks like it, Joe! Right down to altering the price according whether HMV are low on stock or not too.
Even at £13 this was a bargain, but £7.99 is an awesome deal, you’d be mad to miss it !!
