  1. The 3 albums I ordered came yesterday. The beauty of an offer like this (thanks Paul) is the variety of music that it encourages you to get.

I have been absolutely loving The Spice Girls. The last time I heard this was when my 2 and 3 year old daughters were bouncing on the bed to it back in the day. It feels properly sequenced. I think that’s why I love Vinyl. Side one and side two. “Mama” and “Who do you think you are?” are the openers on a particular side of music, not tracks 6 and 7 on a CD.

    Sequencing matters.

Now to crack open The Gift by The Jam

  2. To anyone who has bought Blood on the Tracks (and actually happens to read this), can you post what the barcode on the version you receive is.

As far as I know no vinyl version has been put out of this album since 2007, I’d like to know if anything “updated” has come out in the meantime or whether Amazon are still using old stock – thanks!

  3. Vinyls – what kind of a word is that!!!!! An assistant in HMV asked me if I wanted some plastic sleeves to store my vinyls in a few days ago!! What he should have said of course was: “to store your vinyl records in?”

        1. You can reply to specific comments, that will help people follow the conversation. Not everyone is going to read every comment in order.

          1. And after a day or two of a thread that has lots of comments most visitors probably don’t go back and read every post, just the most recent ones or those put up since they last looked. So in this case posting a reply to the first comment on the thread would have been fairly pointless.

          2. If we’re talking about ‘pointless’… I think most people know it’s not ‘vinyls’.

  4. Got The Cure ‘Pornography’ and the Velvet Underground ST for 10 euros each a couple of weeks ago, there was also The Chemical Brothers ‘Dig your own hole’ at 13 euros but i already own it. Best thing to do its to set the price range in your search so the cheap records appear.

  5. Thanks,
    for me:
Dylan – Blood on the tracks
Dylan – The times they are a changin’
    T.Rex – Electric Warrior
Small Faces – From the beginning
Jimi Hendrix – Cry of love
Beach Boys – Pet Sounds (Stereo)

  6. Thanks, as always, Paul. I bagged four of those and could easily have got another 10. Managed to resist, what with RSD coming up.

  7. Thanks Paul – got some classic albums by bands I don’t need box sets of (Carole King, Patti Smith) etc. Always worth a look on here on payday.

  8. Thanks Paul, I did it anyway as £10 including postage for Opeth’s Pale Communion is half the price it is in the UK. I suppose the only negative to this is if there is a problem with the vinyl, do Amazon still do free returns to other European countries?

    1. You can return them for free.
Already returned two Depeche Mode Vinyls which were warped, the replacements I received are fine.

A lot Cure records are also cheap , some doubles are 14 euro’s. They sound great.

Yesterday I also bought 3 Magma records also 10 euro a piece !!

        1. Yes the discs were warped, bouncing needle.
Some great reward and Construction Time were warped, but already got good replacements.
Also bought Speak and Spell and A Broken Frame, they were fine.

          1. I bought Speak, Broken and Construction. All great apart apart from aforesaid minor niggle. Problem with these deals is you go to town…and end up spending £120 like I did in one day.

  9. Also Licensed to Ill by the Beasties for €10
I’ve got an original, but I’ve read that this recent reissue is very good indeed, and costs twice as much, everywhere else…

  10. The Stone Roses link goes to Tea For The Tillerman. I tried to order it first thing this morning before sending the email but it appears it’s a Prime (France) exclusive deal.

  11. Promotion : 3€ de réduction sur une sélection de vinyles pour les clients Amazon Premium
Depeche Mode 15-3=12, Nick Cave 10-3=7 and more

premium test 30 days for free

  12. Yes some great deals and dont know why Amazon UK dont do the same. Bought the Portishead Live double LP with postage for £12.70. Its currently £32 on Amazon UK from Amazon. Think the Stone Roses one though is for French Prime Members only. The Eels Beautiful Freak is also a good choice.

  13. I got a number of vinyls a week ago in this deal including Blood on the Tracks, a couple of Elvis Costellos and three Depeche Mode albums. Great value.
