Picture: The Velvet Underground / Loaded: Reloaded 45th anniversary

Visual confirmation that the forthcoming Velvet Underground Loaded ‘Reloaded’ super deluxe edition will maintain the ‘book’ stylings of the previous sets (that were issued by Universal, rather than Rhino).

Full contents of this new six-disc edition are listed here, but fans can expect hi-res 5.1 surround mix, hi-res stereo mix (both on DVD) and plenty of bonus tracks across the five CDs.

The Amazon France price is still the best deal, close to £15 cheaper than the UK price.

The Loaded ‘Reloaded’ 45th anniversary super deluxe is released on 30 October 2015.

The DVD is what I am buying this set for – particularly the 5.1 mix, although I do a question about the content:
Why is there a downmix included? If a new 5.1 was done, presumably the stereo had to be recreated first so why not a high res stereo of the new mix instead of a downmix (which is compromise city). Just curious.

Anyway – preordered (I am a glutton for anything velvets) and very much looking forward to the surround mix

There are several of the Nico set on amazon marketplace for around £70….Not exactly cheap, I know, but not completely eye-watering (the set was always quite pricey)….If it’s going/gone OOP now might be the time to grab one.
Either that or wait for the 50th set : )

@James – it’s virtually ALL been released before. Even the mono mix and the Second Fret show are easy to get hold of – both have been in my collection for years already. There are literally only a handful of tracks in the whole set that any well versed fan may not have.

I hope that, for the fans that want the content, the dvd is released separately – that would seem like a fair thing to do in the circumstances.

Wondering how much of this has been released before. My 2 two disc Kansas City has 17 songs & my Fully Loaded 2 disc has 33 songs. Is there any triple dipping here?

Great news re: the design, layout etc. – would have been a nightmare if the format and size had changed. Amazon UK was £43.33 when I ordered (£49.99 today) and am hoping there might be a dip between now and release date as they charge the lowest price prior to dispatch!

Does anyone know if there is going to be an additional run of the first (VU & Nico) SDE set? It seems like they made a lot less of them and there are lots of us who didn’t buy it the first time around. Would love to complete my set.
