NewsSteve Hackett / Wolflight
Genesis legend Steve Hackett will release a new solo album called Wolflight later this month, that he describes as “the best album I’ve made”.
Wolflight includes contributions from long time collaborators Roger King (Keyboards & programming), Gary O’Toole (drums), Rob Townsend (sax, duduk), Nick Beggs (bass & stick) and Amanda Lehmann (harmony vocals). YES bassist Chris Squire also plays on Love Song to a Vampire.
The ten-track album is available in a number of formats including a two-disc CD + Blu-Ray ‘mediabook’ deluxe edition which includes a 5.1 mix, interviews & two bonus tracks. If you opt for the gatefold 2LP vinyl version you get a CD with it and of course there is a standard CD and digital.
Wolflight is out on 30 March 2015.

Don’t get me wrong, I love his work and always have, however, that cover photo is hilarious. Looking forward to this.
I love his work, don’t get me wrong, and I’m looking forward to this, however, that cover photo is absolutely hilarious. On a side note, he certainly has aged well, I can only hope to look like that at his age.
One of the upsides for those of us who most often listen to our music digitally is that we’ll only see the cover this large on sites like this. It is a little hokey. Oddly enough, it probably would have been a lot better without Steve in it. It could be a very haunting cover in that setting with just the wolves.
Fortunately, the music will be tremendous. I just stumbled across Hackett’s music a few years ago and have really enjoyed it. Glad to see the Genesis material put aside for a bit so he could focus on new music. Wouldn’t mind another Squackett album, either.

It’s certainly on the dodgy side. I would expect to see this kind of generic image on a poster at a New Age market stall.
