Demon Music will issue a 12LP Jesus and Mary Chain Vinyl Box Set on 16 December 2013.
The box will contain all of their original studio albums – Psychocandy (1985), Darklands (1987), Automatic (1989), Honey’s Dead (1992) Stoned & Dethroned (1994) and Munki (1998) – pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl.
Additionally, this vinyl box – issued in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the formation of the band – comes with a Live In Concert 2LP set that features eight tracks from a 1992 Sheffield Arena gig and 12 more from a concert at the Trinity Centre in Bristol in 1995. Another double LP, The BBC Sessions, collects 32 tracks recorded across the decades for BBC radio.
The icing on this particular indie-pop cake comes in the form of an exclusive B-sides and Rarities LP which has a track listing that has been specially selected by fans. We can exclusively reveal the track listing for this below. A 32-page hardback book with interviews and photographs accompanies the 12 vinyl records.
Demon have confirmed with this blog that these vinyl records have been cut from the “highest possible quality digital sources” and have been mastered at half-speed for a “crisper and louder sounding cut to lacquers”.

popmarket/myplay is awesome!! I have NEVER had any problems with them….
Just listened to alot of this set during the christmas-holidays, and the vinyl does indeed sound great. Much better than the recent 2cd/dvd-deluxe-editions which were somewhat more maximized on volume.
Im not at all sure what went down with MyPlay…
I had the preorder there with the discount-code provided by SuperDeluxeEdition (thanks for the code!), but as I found out about the Amazon.co.uk and its better price I decided to cancel the order from MyPlay and now got this set from Amazon with good price, around £112 delivered.
But was I surprised few days ago, when the postman delivered my usual packages, there was 2 boxes from MyPlay and it was indeed that the customer-service had forgotten to cancel the order, but they didnt take the money from my card at all.
So eventually I ended up getting 3 sets of the vinyl-box and paid £112 for these.
Yeah, I wish I’d done my research on Myplay before ordering. Their customer service is non-existent.My order still hasn’t been shipped & it’s supposed to arrive before Christmas.Nothing but complaints about them on forums/twitter/facebook. Thanks for the discount code though!
Myplay/PopMarket is just flat out terrible. Avoid at all costs.
Not sure whats currently going on at MyPlay. I had the first normal price preorder cancelled in november aswell as the the order that used SuperDeluxeEdition -10% discount, because I found the vinyl-set cheaper at Amazon.co.uk.
Now it turns out that they have taken 2 payments from my credit-card last monday, one was for full price and one with the discount. Really weird since both orders were cancelled and the cancellations were confirmed by the MyPlay customer-service.
I just sent couple of messages to MyPlay to sort it out and to return the money to my credit-card/bank-account. If they wont reply within the next few days, I have to call the bank and ask them to delete the transfers or something.

Amazon UK is selling it for £112.
I already placed my order with MyPlay and have sent an e-mail last Tuesday to cancel my order with them. Still no reply. I guess they’re not too happy about Amazon selling the box set at a lower price but that’s life! I will be on their back until they cancel my order.

Amazon.co.uk has now the lowest price for the vinyl boxset, its currently priced at £114.34
I decided to change my order over to Amazon.co.uk as they currently have the lowest price £140.09
Ok, I finally got the original order cancelled (after sending the few messages).
With the discount-code price came down from 190.74€ to 174.74€, still bit pricey but have to keep looking if Amazon.co.uk can ge the price lower, then I will surely order the set from there.

I just asked them to cancel my preorder and Im going to make new order with the discount-code.
Hopefully they will cancel the order and let me use the code as I want the discount. Myplay Direct / Popmarket does not have best possible customer-service, when they answer it works but once in a while they are so slow at answering and sometimes you dont get a reply no matter what you do. They should take a note and look how some other stores (like Amazon) handle their excellent customer-service.

I ordered the box although the full price incl. postage for JAMC-fans outside the UK is GBP 150,00 – so I hope that not the same happens as with the Suede-Box which was offered later a lot cheaper at amazon as on myplay.
