NewsWorld of Suede: more vinyl and CD reissues from Edsel Records
Edsel Records follow their two Suede Singles box sets with a flurry of releases from the band in May.
Suede‘s triumphant return to the live stage at the Royal Albert Hall in 2010 is reissued and repackaged as a 2CD+DVD digi-pack, while the same concert performance is also pressed onto heavyweight 180g vinyl for a triple LP set.
In addition, having recently put out the 1997 Sci-Fi Lullabies compilation on 3LP vinyl, a two-CD digi-pack edition is issued on the same day as the RAH sets.
Suede return to the Royal Albert Hall this weekend for another Teenage Cancer Trust gig, this time performing 1994’s career high, Dog Man Star, in full.
All three products mentioned above are issued on 12 May 2014.

Coming to this post late, but can anyone confirm that the DVD is region-free? I believe I read that the earlier deluxe edition was, since it added it to my import wishlist. Anyway, I’ve preordered the new Edsel version on Amazon.co.uk since the price is worth it for the 2 CDs alone…
I think the money saved is great value. I only ever wanted it for the concert content. As far as re-issues are concerned it has been an epic 3 years!
It’s funny to see Suede spending so much time in the headlines again. I think back to the early 2000’s when nobody bar the devoted fans would give them the time of day.

It seems to me that you ‘ll save 30£ but will lose:
“An exclusive DVD of backstage footage produced and edited by Simon Gilbert, a film of Brett Anderson s visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust s Oasis Centre in Cambridge, and a Paul Khera photo gallery”.
And you will get a 32 page booklet instead of
“A 48 page booklet, featuring specially-written individual notes by all five band members, and Paul Khera s amazing photos”
Very true, although £30 is a lot of money for those extras. That said the ‘book’ packaging on the original is quality.
I didn’t get a chance to buy the Royal Albert Hall limited deluxe DVD edition when it was first released, so is it better to buy the new reissued one or buy the first released one (the price is fairly high though)? Are there any differences?
As chdx described. The 2CDs and the actual DVD of the gig are identical.
