Universal to reissue classic soundtracks on 180g vinyl

jaws

We’re gonna need a bigger shelf… Universal Music are to reissue a series of landmark soundtrack recordings in April, including John Williams‘ score for Steven Speilberg’s 1975 blockbuster Jaws.

Other titles released simultaneously include Nino Rota‘s music for Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, Ennio Morricone‘s timeless soundtrack to Sergio Leone’s The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and the ramshackle ‘mixtape’ treatment that accompanies the Coen brothers’ The Big Lebowski.

All these and others are issued on 27 April 2015, with some release variations in different countries.

I second the “Where are the Guy Richie film soundtracks” re-release dates?

Are any of these reissues from original master analog sources?

Friso Pasq

Are they remastered? And are they maybe limited colored vinyl like a lot of soundtracks lately? I wonder.

I’m gonna’ pick up the Godfather soundtrack quicker than Clemenza can wolf down a cannoli.
